If you're practicing Pilates or yoga at home chances are you are doing some planks.

Would you say you love them yet?

Despite the fact that planks can be incredibly helpful for strengthening your core, back, arms, and lower body they're often met with a groan or two when it's time to get your plank on.

Well it doesn't have to be that way!

Planks can cause neck, wrist, or low-back pain but often those issues are related to form and technique - with some simple adjustments and modifications those pains can easily be eliminated!

-Back Strengthening

Glute and Leg Strengthening

-Concentration and Focus

-Bone Building

So there's lots of reasons to try to find a way to Love Your Planks!

Give these tips a try to see if you can decrease discomfort in your wrists or back while doing a plank - and let me know how it goes!

Much love,

Ky

*** And while I'm offering some general technique adjustments that can help make planks more accessible and effective, this is not a substitute for listening to your body and doing what is appropriate. If you feel pain during or after exercise I always advise that you check in with your doctor or medical professional.
